Stephen has over 20 years experience in the field of architecture. Before opening his own practice, he worked for several architectural firms where he obtained a great deal of knowledge in residential, commercial, retail,  corporate interiors, liturgical, and municipal projects.

 

He studied architecture at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, New York and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1994. He is a New York State Registered Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional.

 

In addition to Whalen Architecture utilizing Revit for development of documents for all of our projects, Stephen provides instruction to professionals in the construction industry using this software.  

 

He is native to the Hudson Valley and lives in Wappingers Falls with his wife and two children. He is a member of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Professional Networking Powerhouse. He is also very active with non for profit organizations such at Rebuilding Together Dutchess County.
